Bossier Parish Warrant Records Bossier Parish Warrant Records

This page lays out what we can and cannot help with, and it points questions about official Bossier Parish warrants to the offices that actually hold the records. Almost every request belongs with the sheriff's records division or the court that issued the order, not with us. The routing below sends each kind of question to the right desk.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those needs, go straight to the sheriff's office or the issuing court.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Most questions about a Bossier Parish warrant belong with the office that issued or holds it. Here is where the common ones go:

  • Whether a warrant exists: start with the court that issued it or the agency that serves it. The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office records division handles sheriff-held material by written request.
  • A bench warrant for a missed court date: contact the court that set the case, which is usually Bossier City Court, a mayor's court in Benton, Haughton, or Plain Dealing, or a justice of the peace district.
  • A district court matter: the Bossier Parish Clerk of Court and the 26th Judicial District Court handle district criminal case files and court dates.
  • A city warrant or city ticket: Bossier City Court holds the case, and the Bossier City Marshal serves the court's orders and takes warrant payments.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, under Sheriff Julian C. Whittington, is at 204 Burt Blvd., Benton, LA 71006. The main line is (318) 965-2203. Public records requests go to the Records Division, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., by mail to P.O. Box 850, Benton, LA 71006, or by email to recordsrequest@bossiersheriff.com. The office asks requesters to use Form 550, the public records request form posted on its site, and to wait for a cost notice before sending any payment. The sheriff's public records page is at bossiersheriff.com/publicRecordsRequest, and the form itself is available at Form 550.

For a district court case, the record sits with the Bossier Parish Clerk of Court, Clerk Jill M. Sessions, at 204 Burt Blvd., Benton. The Clerk's phone is (318) 965-2336, and the 26th Judicial District Court Judges' Office is (318) 965-2217. The court keeps six divisions, A through F, with public hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For a city matter, Bossier City Court is at 620 Benton Road, and its clerk's office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Bossier City Marshal, Jim Whitman, serves city court orders from the same building and can be reached at (318) 741-8855. Bossier City Police records questions go to (318) 741-8687.

Benton, Haughton, and Plain Dealing each handle their own mayor's court citations. Haughton Town Hall is at 118 W. McKinley Ave. and can be reached at (318) 949-9401. Plain Dealing's town office is (318) 326-4234. The parish also has six justice of the peace and constable districts, and the parish government site lists the current justices of the peace by district.

One more thing. This site does not run a contact form for official requests, and a message sent to us does nothing to a case. We cannot confirm, recall, or clear a warrant. Only the court or agency that holds the record can do that, so take the question there.
